NAIROBI, June 16 - Up to 200 National Technical Officers (NTOs) are ready for the 10th IAAF World Under 18 Championships to be held in Nairobi between July 12 and 16. The officers will be accommodated at the Sportsview Hotel, Kasarani, which is a 15-minute walking distance from the Kasarani Stadium where the global event will be held.
The contract between the Sportsview Hotel and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) was signed on Friday, indicating that the hotel is now ready to accommodate the officials. More technical officials will will be accommodated at the Stadion Hotel inside Kasarani, while the International and Area Technical Officials will be at the Safari Park Hotel, across the Thika Superhighway.

CEO of the Local Organization Committee, said.
"This is a requirement of the IAAF and also of our procurement procedures here. We want officials to enjoy the games while staying in good conditions," said Muthee.
Peter Salaton, the General Manager of Sportsview Hotel, said: "We have 100 rooms blocked for purposes of the World Under 18 Championships and we shall provide extras like swimming pool, sauna, WiFi and others for free."
"We are happy to be associated with the Championships and wish all teams, especially the Kenyan team, the best," he said.
The signing ceremony was graced by Assistant Director of Accommodation at the LOC, Mr Peter Angwenyi, Marketing Manager of Sportsview Hotel, Ms Margaret Njenga, Director of Procurement at the LOC, Mr Duncan Ashubwe and Bryan Muindi from the LOC Legal Directorate.
